Roof Leak

Woke up this morning to a drip on the inside ceiling seam just rear of where the ac returns are. We had rain last night but was nothing to bad. I know there has been a problems with the covers of the ac in the past, but I don't think that is the problem as ac was replaced in April of '17 . Also I had the heat pump running. I have been in some pretty good T- storm since rig was new and never had a leak. I have not been on the roof yet but I would like to know if there are any ideas of what to look for.
Thanks

Read in your post about having the AC replaced in 17 and having been through some t-storms since then. Wouls still recommend popping the cover and ensuring the 4 bolts holding the AC unit are tightened. There is a foam gasket between the AC unit and your roof. This was the source of my leak and reads identical to yours. Good luck, Joe.

Besides the above and the obvious looking for tree damage, look around everwhere something comes thru the roof and make sure you the lap sealant hasn't cracked or pulled away.

Looked on the roof and all Dicor looks good. We are moving today so no time to pull the cover. There is no rain next couple of day so will pull cover and see if bolts are tight. I was present when the ac was replaced and the install looked fine. BTW is there a torque spec for the lag screws? Don't want to over tighten or strip.

Don't think there is any spec for the bolts. I do know they have a habit of loosening up over time because of all the vibrations that accrue while being towed down the road. I have retightened mine several times.

You do have to be careful when tightening them to not over tighten them. I had to replace mine and fortunately it came with a stick on indicatior (a couple of yellow tabs) that you stick on top of the gasket, so that when they reached the top of the opening you know it was tight enough.

I did find this article though (hope it helps):
