We have one of those also...worked like a charm! We have since upgraded to the new dually which has a built in step so we don't end up using it anymore.

I have used the milk crate for years and it transfers from truck to truck easily. Also as a bonus, turn it over and a 20 of 30 lb propane tank fits snugly for transport to refill without rolling around in the bed. I usually carry a spare 20 lb tank for the dual fuel genny.

We have a sturdy but cheap 3 step aluminum ladder. I use it to wash top of truck, fuel the auxiliary fuel tank, load my bike in the bed and get in/out of bed of truck for whatever reason. I also stand on the tire, but I'm getting too old to do that.

I got the AMP step on my 15. Works great.Tucks under the side of the bed nice. Just put your toe on the front of it and push down. very easy to use. Milk crate may work but you have to put it in the bed ladder is the same thing. I dont have to pick up anything nor put anything in the bed of my truck. it's always there when I need it.
