Winchester Bay Oregon

http://www.marinarvresort.com/

Wow! Though I normally don't like resorts without a lot of trees, this place was really nice and what a view! We drove through and counted 5 Montanas and a Big Sky this Labor Day weekend. The only drawback is there are miles and miles of sand dunes filled with ATVs fairly close by, though thankfully you cannot hear them from the resort. Winchester Bay is about 25 miles south of Florence and 25 miles north of Coos Bay.

Roy & Nancy..... Marina RV Resort looks nice. I'm familiar with that area and agree it's beautiful. We've never stayed there, always was in a hurry to get on up to Honeyman Park at Florence.

Now that the kids are grown and somewhat on their own, I'd like to get hubby to take a week off of work (hahah, yeah right!) and go explore some of the areas in Oregon we've never stayed at.

It'll be a toss up for next year..... if there's a MOC Rally that we can make it to and home in about a week's time I'd really like to do that.

We were not at the resort, just drove through. We usually opt for the state parks, and we have stayed at Honeyman before. Tugman is also a nice park, which is south of where we were at Umpqua Lighthouse. I still prefer the atmosphere of the state parks, but I some of those with the bigger rigs who like some nice scenery would appreciate the information. It was packed full when we drove through.
