Cherokee KOA, NC
Just returned from a two week outing in the 3655FL. Its the longest and furtherst trip we have taken in the 5er. We really enjoyed the Cherokee KOA campground. There were some small problems but overall it was a nice campground. Some of the sites were small but they put us in a great place. They have some super sites which are really nice and can handle any size rig you have. There is a river which runs behind the site with tubing and great brown trout fishing. There is some communications problems with the hired help as they are international exchange students. There are so many things to do in the local area that you can't possibly do it all in a week. The only recommendation I have is not to come in from the North. A big mountain and lots of switchbacks. I heard some real horror stories from folks trying to bring rigs over the mts. We enjoyed it so much we are already talking about going back next year. I could go on and on but the post is already too long.
