MT is Montana, not Texas

I love my home state of Texas. Some day soon I'll have a home base there again, while we travel in our Montana. I live in Montana now, but when I click the MT link on the Member Map, the state of Texas appears, not the state of Montana. Weird!

That probably explains why there's never a red "balloon" showing who from Montana has been on the forum in the last 100 days.

Trust me, I'm on it--a lot!

Sounds to me like Texas wants you back.

I think there is something goofy with it. When I type in NM it pulls up Oregon, and Washington.

I think I remember reading a thread on this map a couple of years ago, something about it being tried and abandoned. Is it supposed to be working now?

Maybe ole dude is right, and the map just goes to the state that wants you back. I sure miss Oregon, and Washington .

Texas IS big, and it is home--always has been, always will be. For the moment, we're enjoying Big Sky country with the snow, wildlife, and grandkids, but TEXAS is calling, and we're listening!

Texas has to be big. With all these (me to) "swelled" heads in the state, we need room!

The Membership Map feature here on the MOC has never worked exactly as it was intended. In fact the software was always a sort of been a "Beta" type. Perhaps the feature will be fully implemented in the future. Until then it seems to be a completely "hit and miss" type process. Enjoy it if it works for you and if it doesn't then just move on to something else.

We are aware of the limitations of this feature.
