Finally got the propane problem fixed. The problem was the red safety regulator was leaking. I could still use propane off the side by the cutover switch, but because of the leak in the safety regulator, I was not getting enough pressure to run the furnace off of the primary tank. It appeared to work for a day off the primary, but then started having more problems, so I just shut down the propane, rather than taking chances with the leak, until I got the new regulator this morning.
so the end of this saga. Thanks again for the support.
