Close but no cigar
Just spent 4 hrs cleaning and waxing the TV and spent last Wednesday washing and waxing the Monty . Have to clean and organize the interior of the Monty yet. Now have to be patient and wait for the 13th of June when we hit the road to Alaska. Things will go fast as we have Twin Grandson's B-Day party June 10th and we just got a call that we have another grandson. Will travel to Wausau Tuesday to see Luke David Kedrowski. Have a safe RVing summer everyone.

Congratulations! Have a great trip! It's one that you'll never forget. That Dodge will do great in the mountains. Been there, done that!

sgtpp214,
Begin to build your patience now. The trip from Haines Junction to the Alaska Border will try it to the enth degree. Other than that stretch, the Alaska Highway isn't really bad at all. So far, this had been the best trip of my life. I encourage you to inquire in Tok about a Alaska Saver coupon book. It cost $99 and we saved that much the first two times we used it. It is kind of a buy one ticket get the second ticket free coupon book.

Hey everybody we are now in North Pole, AK. We have reservations to take trip to Artic Circle and then do the river trip. On Wed I have to get the Dodge serviced. Unbelieveable, 3500 miles up here from Washburn. So far the worst part of the trip was the approximately 75 miles in Yukon just before you enter Alaska. This stretch of road is terrible so if you are coming North take it slow. Did I mention this trip is unbelieveable and we are enjoying every minute of it. We even saw a grizzly bear. Life is great.

Dave,
Come over to the topic Caravan to Alaska in this section. There are 4 more Montana's close to you in Alaska and we are all posting in that thread. My wife and I are across Fairbanks in the Chena Marina RV Park. Helen and Bill just left the Riverview RV Park in North Pole.

Tim, you are so right. We all are blessed and don't think we don't know it. We will never take for granted the opportunity we have been given. Not only are we having the time of our lives, we are meeting some of the best people in the world as we are doing it. Thank you Lord.
Helen

"your so blessed someday it's our dream to be up there too good luck and have a safe journey take care up there"
I couldn't have said it better Tim, but you give me a chance to get on my soap box. I don't care how you work it out just do it. Too many people I know always said 'someday', but unfortunately the final day came before 'someday' came. Sorry everybody,
enough preaching.
Yesterday we took the tour to the Artic Circle. The scenery was great and now we can say we did it. 78 yro MIL had a great time except for 2/3rds of way up as back acted up, but the rest of her trip was great she says. Experienced our first historical gravel and road construction road. Sure was glad someone else was doing the driving and it was their bus and not the Monty or my Dodge.
