Pottery - Commerce, GA

We're leaving today for a long weekend at the Pottery Campground in Commerce, GA. We're going to be looking at realestate in the area as well as shopping the outlets. Hope you all have a great weekend.

We have stayed several times in the Commerce area. There used to be a KOA, but it is now independent. We have not stayed there since the change. My great grandfather (and family), Michael Jackson Ragsdale lived in Banks County (northeast of Homer)until 1869 when they all moved here to East Texas (great story, but I'll not share it here).

The last time we visited Banks County (last year) we stayed up near Lavonia at the Sunset RV park and enjoyed it. One of my Ragsdale cousins lives up there.

You may not get this until your return, if so I hope you enjoyed the Pottery Barn. If by chance you do, I will make that as a wish!

I will be going by there tomorrow, Lamar, on my way to Unicoi to see the Tour de Georgia bicycle race. You know, Commerce is just up the road from us, but I have never looked at the campground—go figure…
