Maine

Have been enjoying ME for about 2 weeks now. One week in Bar Harbor and this past week at the KOA Skowhegan, moving to Camden, over the coast tomorrow....waiting on the leaves to turn.

Hi Virgil Reference to your snow question: We always had snow to hunt on by Thanksgiving week but of late we have been lucky to have it by Christmas. You have a long time to enjoy Maine b4 you have to deal with the white stuff. Dan

Keep us posted, Virgil. That trip is on our short list. Do you have reservations or are they not necessary?

Judy,
This time of year is considered out of season and ALL campgrounds have had space. We have been able to pick and choose. We really enjoyed Acadia NP and roaming around the Bar Harbor area. We attended the Common Ground Fair in Skowhegan and could have spent two days there (about 3rd weekend in Sept) It was all about living off thee land, back to nature, ecological and organic stuff. Now we are in Rockport, just south of Camden and this seems to be the most picturesque part of the seacoast. The harbor at Camden is just beautiful.
Down side is most of these campgrounds seem to be closing mid-late October.

Oh, what a beautiful place to visit. We love Camden! We have not visited in our RV, so it is high on our list when we retire.
