Extended insurance

Can anybody give me information on a good company to go with for an extended warranty on my 2013 Mountaineer thank's. Tom

Many folks use Good Sam. That way it works at all Camping Worlds and you've got someone to go back on if there are problems and they'll probably still be in business. There is also a thread discussing another option under Maintenance.

Our Good Sam ESP just paid 1107.00 for two holding tanks replacements.

Recently bought a 7 yr policy from Wholesale Warranties. They come with good recommendations. Price was good. Sent out a thorough independent inspector to go over the RV. I haven't had to use it yet.. so, can't comment on how well it actually works.

I know this will probably start a good discussion about extended warranties, but generally all extended warranties are a waste of money. Do your research and see what the expects say about these warranties.

I.e. good sam's has a 2 year warranty that with a $500 ded. will cost you the $500 along with a $800 premium. Consider that the first year is under a Montana warranty that one year will cost you nearly $1300. For a 5year warranty (acutally 4 years of good sams) it will cost you nearly $2600. And, this is with a 2013 5th wheel.
If you go to a 5 year and a $100 ded. you will be paying over $4000 for the 4 years of extended coverage.

I agree 100%. No insurance company would stay in business if they averaged pay outs more than the premiums. Just like Vegas, the odds are heavily in their favor.

The galley tank failed at the very bottom of the tank and not at a seam. The Gray tank failed about half way up and also not at a seam.

We purchased our Good Sam ESP after the one year keystone warranty was expired. We had a warranty on our 06 3400 that we purchsed in the 11th month of the Keystone warranty.

Our 3 year G.S Warranty with 200.00 deductible cost us 925.00 that is 308.00 per year. They just wrote a check to our dealer for the replacement of two Holding tanks for 1107.00. Both the G.snd our previous extended warranty worked for us.

Every business must take in more than they pay out..

We have the Good Sam/Camping World Extended Plan.

You should look into it since you have a couple of real close new friends and contacts at Camping World and enjoy shopping there so much!! I know they will give you a GREAT deal!

I have GS now but I am checking out Coach Net Extended Warranty. They have competitive pricing with GS but offer a little more for the money and will do a 4 year term.
