pass thru latching
Since day one, I noticed that the street side door wasn't latched as tight in the front as the back of this door. Yesterday, I decided it was time to correct this factory issue. The latch catch hardware installed on the bottom of the frame was the issue. Whoever did it had no clue. 1- the holes drilled allowed for no tightening 2- the hardware wasn't centered on the slam latch capture area 3- the center hole for "locking" position once the adjustment was correct was even closer to the outside of the frame. So it was move catch hardware over so new holes could be drilled and completing job as it should have been. Gee, it works now and is closing tightly. I know I should have done this two plus years ago, no excuse. John
