Water pump recommendations

I have owner my 2016 montana 3160rl since new. I have never carried fresh water in the tank so I only use the water pump to winterize in the fall. Every year when I winterize the rv, I have problems with the water pump being able to draw from the jug of rv antifreeze. I have shortened to hose I use to witerize, I have even put the jug on a ladder for gravity to help me. Bottom line, I am looking to replace my water pump before I winterize this year. Will any pump from camping world work? I really don’t want to spend a lot of money since it is only for winterizing at this time.

There is very little chance it’s the pump. The problem more than likely an air leak before the pump. Since air is much lighter than water it would much rather pump air. That’s where I would look.

It has been so frustrating using the winterize system, I was gonna attach a pump to a five gallon bucket and pump the antifreeze into the city water connection.

This method does a great job.

Likely nothing wrong with pump. Turn the screen washer at the hose connection around in the winterize port so that it holds the check valve open due to the pump not being able to pull enough suction to overcome the valve. Slightest air leak at the connection will prevent flow also. Just remember to turn the screen washer back around after done.
Easy peasy.

What kencare said. Had the same issue first time doing the winterizing. Talked to the dealers head winterizing guy and told me to flip the cone screen around to open the one way valve up,worked perfectly doing that, but don't forget to flip the screen back around when done. Someone else posted this issue and i responded how to do it and they said it worked also by doing the screen flip around. Good luck.

When I was winterizing the first time it wouldn’t pull antifreeze. Knew I had a vacuum leak so pulled the white panel and tightened the fitting behind the wall. All is good now.

And I just add a second hose washer to the winterizing port.

I use air from a compressor to blow out all of the water lines. Quick, easy and clean.

Can you blow out the ice maker water line for a Samsung residential fridge? I can pull the line off in the cabinet next to it where the shutoff valve is.
