Rubber Trim

Have you had to replace the rubber trim on your Monty? Over the week end we lost the 2 pieces that go in the front and 1 on the side that goes from just under the 5er up the side to the top. We had some 100 degree plus weather, maybe the heat caused them to get soft. The unit was bought new in Feb. 2004. I know camping world has the replacement trim. Do you put adhesive at each end after installing? Thanks!

Although we haven't done it on our Mounty, we did have to replace a strip on our old popup. In that case, the channel in which the strip rests also acts as a retainer. No glue needed.

We've not had to replace any but had trouble with the strip that goes up and around the entry door. That one would come out of the retainer and several feet of it would flap in the wind while going down the road. A little spot or two of silicone adhesive solved that problem on ours.

Our son-in-law was cleaning out his garage and found several packages of these. (He got rid of his trailer so didn't get them.) So I read the directions when I put them away. You put adhesive at each end.
