weights and measures

Okay I picked up the camper from storage with the new truck yesterday.
measured height and amount of sag.

My storage pinweight is 2880, 320 pounds heavier than the published pinweight. No washer, dyer or generator. Single battery from dealer.

Rear of truck sagged 2.25 inches. Front came up 0.25 inches.
Current height is 13' 0"
Height of the bottom of the overhang is 59.25 inches.
So the bottom of my overhang to the top of my AC is 8' 3/4".
This a nice number to have. I do not have to climb on the roof anymore to see how tall I am.
Distance of bedrail to camper is only 4.5 inches
Will have to raise that.
Will have to recheck trailer height after raising it.

Things will change as you load the trailer, with the RD models you can keep all the heavy stuff in the rear storage areas, when/if you fill your water tank for trips it is also in the rear and you will likely see the pin weight drop some. I've had the 2015 3790 loaded heavy to the rear since getting it and the pin weight has sat right around 2800lbs... Tows better with the water tank full than empty in my opinion. Have fun with it.........

Ah but the HC 379RD does not have the rear storage. I sometimes either add or subtract the added digit also.

Most of the weight we add is either right over or in front of the axles, with the exception of the fresh water tank.

Will try to hit the scales on next trip. We will be loaded for bear. 2+ weeks with wedding supplies.
