Sewer hose storage

We have a 2008 3400RL. Actually it's still on the dealer lot since the snow has to melt before we can get it in our driveway.

Where is the sewer hose stored on the 3400RL

My 2007 3400RL has a storage compartment that is free draining at the rear of the unit on the driver's side. It holds all that I carry, 3 hoses and connectors.

We have a 2004 2980 and the sewer hose is stored in a comparment with a locking door just above the hookup! I don't know about the 3400s. Sounds like they are totally different than ours!

Same as Bingo on our 2007 3400RL.

Note that on the opposite side is an identical space just waiting for you to cut in and install another door. More storage available that way.

Our 3400 also has the storage in the rear on the drivers side. I'm able to get 30' of hose and connections in there. That should give you a place to start. Congrats on the purchase of your new toy.

Thank you all for you helpful knowledge.

I can't wait to pick up our camper, stuff it and actually get to use it. We do visit it from time to time but it's a three hour drive each way. Why did we buy it there???? Best price and we camp up there in northern NH so if we need warranty service, we'll most likely be there. Hoping to full time in about 18 months.

If I may offer a suggestion to all those with the sewer storage compartment, rather than a tube. If you look around in there you'll see the sharp tips of several sheet metal screws. I had one hose ripped on one of those screws. I then went to a local hardware store and bought a handful of vinyl "screw covers" for less than a nickel each. They fit very nicely over the points of those screws.

Keystone, since this is advertised as a sewer hose storage compartment, shouldn't you cover these screws before the rig leaves the factory?

If I recall from the RV show in Jan. they moved the sewer compartment on the 2008 3400RL from driver's side rear (where our is located) to driver's side center closer to the outlet. klandry please let us know where yours is located when you get it.

If that's the case, then my comments about a compartment on the other side may not be relevant. I wonder if there's still those rear areas that could be used for storage. Next RV show I'll have to look.

Our sewer hose storage is in the rear on the driver's side on our 2008 3400. If you bought an Anniversary edition (ours is not) it may be in a different place. We are going to add a tube, saw them at Camping World but know you can "make" your own.

Our storage compartment is mid-ship of the coach near the connection. We have a 2006 3000RK and thanks for the idea of covering the screws. I will need to check that out. I also liked to say thanks for the idea about the tube. I had a tube for our screen house polls on our pop-up back in the good ol days. Jon

2007 3400RL is at the rear of the driver's side. Know someone that hung 4" sewer hose (pvc) under their rig at the rear and carry their hoses there. They use the hose compartment to carry their 50 amp electrical cord.

I have the 06 3400 and the sewer storage is on the driver's side in the rear. After ruining a hose on the exposed screws I bought the carry tube at CW and mounted right behind the front Jacks.

Phil, if you want to use that rear compartment again for additional sewer hose storage, at any hardware stores you can get "screw covers" for around a nickel apiece. They are usually a vinyl-like material that fits over the pointy end of the screw. Works well for me.
