Has anyone seen one of these?

Saw this rig when we were recently camping over in Eastern Oregon. The owner really likes the set-up, but for me the jury is still out!

I believe my 2" receiver is rated at 10000 pounds. Monty is GVW 14400. So besides the tow buddy I would have to upgrade the receiver.

That would seem to put a tremendous sideways stress on the truck's receiver and frame when turning as it has to swing the whole unit to the side. May be strong enough, but I don't think it was designed for that.
Web site says the tires stay parallel to the vehicle rear tires and those tires slide when turning. In a sharp turn backing into a tight space, I can see those tires skidding a lot. And with 2500-3000 pounds sitting on it!! Just doesn't sound too practical to me.

This wouldn't work on my TV. I have a bumper tow rating of only 12,500. My truck bed has 15,200. I would not feel safe towing my 5er in that manner. I would also have another thing to worry about maintaining, would add more length to my rig combination, add significant cost and what about backing up?

Looks interesting, but I would need some answers, like a long test drive, before even trying this.

Saw one in Florida, guy had a 5th wheel behind a 3500 drw truck, why he felt compelled to use it instead of a 5th wheel hitch is beyond me but he seemed to really like it. However, his wife was with him I am sure he would say "I blew 5 grand on this POS and it's worthless", yeah and live through the night.

If I wanted other than a fifth wheel, I would have purchased a travel trailer. I have no desire to turn my fifth wheel into one.

Only benefit I can see is freeing up the bed of the truck for large toys. But again, the mechanics of it bother me.

I saw one where we stay in Parker Az last winter. I think the cost of one would get me out of our 5er and into a pull behind tt. Not something I would want.

I have seen one and didn't think much of it. Me thinks I'll stay with what I gots.

First of all most all receivers will be overloaded with any decent size 5th wheel.

The added length could be a problem.

And no matter what they say backing would be a true task.

AND if you read their guest book they haven't been available for some time. Could it be they are no longer made?

Seems to be a solution for a non-existent problem. At least to me.

Looks like it was designed by a Congressional committee.
