Gel - Gloss - Anyone use it on their Monty?
Cleaning out the basement and I found a gallon of liquid Gel-Gloss one step cleaner and polish. The container states it cleans, seals and polishes. It has carnauba wax in it. The container states it is used on fibreglass, marble and acrylic surfaces. Has anyone used it on the exterior of the camper and were you happy with it? The container states to apply it every 6-8 weeks for maximum protection. We must have bought it a lot of years ago and forgot about it.
I appreciate your thoughts.

I think Camping World used to carry it in a pinkish plastic bottle. I have used it in the past with average results and think that's where it came from. I did try a differently packaged Gel Gloss in a metal can from Sutherlands a few years back ... it wasn't very user friendly as far as applying it to the side of your fiver. I couldn't figure out the difference. It did make my counter tops shine although.

At the MOC Rally a company called Croftgate held a seminar on several cleaners/waxes that they sell. Several MOC members swear by the stuff. We bought some, but haven't had a chance to use it yet.

Used once on an older SOB, lot of labor and time. With first Monty I bought the Croftgate Aquanil X waterless wash and wax and it is the best wash polish I have ever used. I can wash and polish the rig with a half dozen microfiber towels in about 3 hours. Just bought more in bulk from them and saved money.

I have good luck with Mcguires marine polishes and waxes. Gelcoat on front and rear caps seams to maintain it's shine longer.

I agree with McGuiars. Used it on all my toys since 1994.

Thank you for the input regarding Gel-gloss. I guess I'll use it for other purposes listed on the container and not on the exterior of the camper.
