Front Living Floor Plans

We have a 2014 375FLF front living room unit. The deal-breaker for us on this new floor plan would be the inability to get from the front to the back without putting out slides. In ours, we can walk from the fireplace (front/nose) through the kitchen past the table/chairs, through the bathroom, to the bed and even the back window if we want! Everything in our unit is accessible, except for the drop-down desk and the lower bedroom drawers, when the slides are in.

In looking at the plan posted the, DW and I agree thay we don't care for the plan. We still like the 3750and the 3850 plans. We do like the idea of changing up the furnishings and colors. To us that would have been cheaper than retooling for a new floor plan. Did Keystone really think that just coming out with something so different would spur sales. IMHO they should stay with tried and true and just tweak them with improving the quality of the finishes, furnishings, appliances,and mechanical systems.

IMHO I don't think the extra slide is needed. I like having that room with my 3750FL between my fwd and aft slides under my awning to set up camp. Plus it's tight enough with 5 slides at many camp sites getting the right positioning so I can open all the slides and the awning without hitting anything. I've seen SOB campers that have slide outs under the awning.You lose at least half the space under the awning because of the slide. I think more people would rather have the outside entertainment center and more room under the awning to sit and watch it than an extra slide but that's just my opinion.

We have a 2004 front living room 3685fl, we like the front living room and thought its time to upgrade to a new front living room floor plan.
This summer we have been to a few dealers looking at the 3750fl and 3850fl, I could take either but DW likes the the 3850fl only drawback for her is the interior colours, she wants lighter colour.
So I tell her lets wait and see what colour options they will have for 2015-2016?
We really enjoy our area under the awning and with a slide taking up space it will be a deal breaker for us on this new model.
Looks like we are stuck with the old girl for another year.

I would be really interested in seeing how they are addressing the awning on the six slide model. Even after the pictures, still prefer our 3850FL.

Johnnyq: I checked out the photos and photo #25 shows the living room AND the bedroom are located at each end of the rig and each are upstairs? Am I seeing that correctly? I haven't ever seen a floor plan like that. Not sure I like all the interior stairs.
It will be interesting to see in person.

EDIT: Just saw a topic further down about the new 3791RD model. It's the one with the raised "rear den" and the raised front bedroom, the one with all the interior stairs. I didn't see a desk. Most people on the road need a desk to take care of personal business, send out emails and play on the internet. A place that they can leave the paperwork and the computer/laptop on and not have to clear stuff off the kitchen table so they can eat dinner. The 3750 had a pretty nice desk area that could be closed up and it wasn't next to a television. Our old 3295 floorplan is looking better and better.

The new 3710 and 3711 models cover the center slide with the awning, greatly reducing the patio area. They improved the sleeper sofas and now include a recliner. The outside entertainment center is gone.

The 3711FL is the model we made a tentative deal on. Like everyone else my opinion is based on a few pictures but We really like the openness of the living room and kitchen area.
The shower enclosure looks larger than the corner style in the 3850fl which I consider a plus.
The residential style refrigerator is 17 cubic foot and should come in handy when on the road for long periods of time. The question is can we access it with the slides closed?
The sixth slide with the kitchen table stuffed in it looks like a mistake for a lot reasons.
It remains unclear at this point But seems like useful space beneath the awning is going to be limited at best with 3 slides on the curb side plus they eliminated the outdoor entertainment center.
Kitchen counter space looks limited compared to the 3850.
The good thing is when we finally do an actual walk through we'll be so much better prepared to make a decision with all the great observations and questions brought up on the forum.

Looked at the pics link. Didn't see stairs except in front.
6th slide for dinette seems cramped and does screw up the patio and awning area.
Still feel the 3750, 3850 are winners , but time will tell.
The SOB's have some very competitive floorplans too, so hope that Keystone isn't doing re-designs as reactions to them.

Looked at the pictures and honestly it looks like Montana like a lot of SOBS are trying cram as much as they can and trying to accommodate everyones wishes on the list in the the tight quarters we already have. We are glad that we got our 3610 rl when we did and hopefully in 3 or 4 years when we are ready to trade in the designs can accommodate our needs.

The only layout change on the 3711FL that I would like on my 3750Fl is the separate enclosed bathroom. Not having to walk thru the bathroom to get to the bedroom or having to waiting to go into or come out of the bedroom if someone (a guest) is in the bathroom would be nice. Except for that I am very happy with my 3750FL.

The raised living and bed rooms do nothing for me. Sure, I like the theater seating and the extra storage, but your living and and bed rooms are going to be hot and the dining and kitchen cold. We do not need 12' ceilings. Raise the dining and kitchen to match the rest of the trailer and put more storage underneath. Shucks.....it would be a 5th wheel that resembles a motorhome. What is the difference if you come up 4 steps to get in and then have to go up and down 2 or 3 more steps all day. Just put them all in at the main entrance and be done with it. I would love a 5th Wheel with all storage underneath like a motorhome and 8' ceilings inside with everything on one level. Just think how good your A/C and heater would work. Just saying....
