Jerked around by keystone/dealer
Before I pulled the new 3910 off the dealers lot, two cracked hinges on the front door were documented by the dealer and submitted for warranty work. The dealer came back today and told me that the claim was denied. Who is the right person to talk to at keystone?

Why did you pull it off the lot? There have been MANY posts on several forums (not just here) of people getting stiffed by dealers.

Start by just calling Keystone Customer Service, dealers have been known to screw things up and sometimes they aren't truthful. Let Keystone have the chance to handle it right. If that doesn't work, email me at dqdick10432@yahoo.com and I'll hook you up with the next person up the line.

Question ....How can a warranty claim be denied. It is a bumper to bumper one year warranty.

Let us know who this dealer is so we all can avoid him and give some bad publicity to the general public. Hopefully this might affect is attitude.

IF, if the dealer had inspected the coach on arrival and made record of the damage, Keystone or the transporter would have been responsible for the repair. If the hinges were missed by the the dealer it becomes their responsibility to repair . If the hinges were damaged while it was on the lot, it becomes the dealers responsibility. Whatever occurred , it is the dealers responsibility to make the customer happy. You did not buy from the manufacturer, you bought from the dealer. If you do not recite satisfaction from them, go to the manufacturer. Go up the chain of command. " the squeaky wheel gets the grease".

Thanks for the offer. In all the years I have had Montana products, never dealt with Keystone directly before. Warranty folks would not discuss but passed me to an office called Owner Relations, and we will see where that takes us.

Too bad that buying an RV lately is like buying a car from Slippery Jake's Used Cars and Firewood. Hope you prevail, and I'll join with others in asking you to share this bozo's name with us.

I believe Owner's Relations is the same as Customer Service. Maybe Customer Service name was a heavy committment to Keystone so they changed it?

Owner relations is actually the new combination of Dutchman and Keystone that are supposed to deal with this type of problem, so you got to the right place.

Something is amiss with dealer. It's covered and I believe Keystone will fix it!
