Eternabond roof tape shelf life?

I have a tiny little tear on my roof, about half the size of your little fingernail. I have thought about buying a roll of Eternabond tape to keep for repairing tears. The problem is, of course that stuff isn't cheap, and every single adhesive I have ever used has a finite shelf life before it just doesn't stick any longer.

Does anyone have experience on this tape and its expected shelf-life?

I'll probably just use a small dab of Dicor lap sealant on this tear, but it's the bigger, nasty ones that one obviously needs tape for.

I dunno what the official shelf life is, but I acquired about 3' from a dealer right at 5 years ago. Last November I used a bit to replace some on my slideout roof ... still stuck like nobody's business.

I've had my roll for 1-1/2 years and its still super sticky. Keep it sealed tight and it should last a long time.

I have purchased the rubber repair material in a small prepackaged item at an rv dealer in the past- I still had some left and it must be at least 5 years old when I used it last summer- JMHO- Don

I have had mine also for 5 or so years also, I keep it in a zip lock bag. I think the biggest thing is have the area clean like the manufacture instructs and it will stick real good for you.

Kept sealed I think it will last longer than the rig.

Mark, Per the Eternabond web site the shelf life is 5 years when stored "properly". But I have used some that was 10 years old and it worked.
