Sewer Hose
As some of you already know, if you accidentally step on one of the cheaper sewer hoses, it can and will commence to leak. Guilty ......now it must be replaced. Looking at the Thetford and Rhino Extreme. Both claim uncrushable and will spring back after being run over by a car. Anybody have a preference and why? Just looking for some bonafide unbiased opinions. Thanks

I just replaced a Rhino Extreme hose that finally gave up after about five years. I try to not walk on the hoses, but these are very durable. I also just purchased a Thetford Premium hose that is supposed to be uncrushable in addition to puncture and abrasion resistant, and again have not punished either of these hoses to test their claims. I just recommend not buying the cheap hoses, as they will not hold up.

I've had one of the Rhino Extreme hoses for about 6 years now. Never purchased a Thetford hose, so I can't speak to theirs, but the Rhino hoses are very durable. I've replaced the seals at the ends twice, but the hose itself is like new. They are very durable hoses and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one again if I needed it.
Also, I have the Camco Rhino 36 gallon tote tank. Just called them to get a part number for the hose sprayer connection which broke recently when a large tree branch fell on the tank at a campground. Camco shipped me a replacement sprayer free under warranty even knowing how it was damaged. Very good customer service there!

My first Rhino lasted about 8 years. Bought another and it was still good when I sold the trailer 6 years later.

Agree, get a good one. I've had a few 10' segments of Rhino Flex hose, along with different Camco fittings, for several years without issue. I haven't stepped on one yet so can't speak to how it would hold up but for normal use they've done their job.

I use Camco Evo flex for about 3 years ans I’m super happy. It always stay soft in cold weather, easy to roll up.

I have had a thetford and disliked it because it could not stay compacted when not in use. I have had a RhinoFlex both regular and extreme and disliked both. The regular one got bent and and the extreme leaked at the fittings. The one nice part of the regular one was that the fittings were not fused on they just twisted on so I could cut the hose and make it shorter to get around the leak. Since I disliked all of those I went to a waste master hose. I dislike the large head because its a pain to store, but I got the built in storage box from Drain Master so that issue is gone. I also initially disliked the modification to the plumbing system to swap the bayonet to the cam lock but after the initial time, I like the cam lock substantially more as it has yet to leak.
