Kitchen Faucet Upgrade
The kitchen faucet in my '06 3400RL was leaking pretty badly around the handle and the finish was mostly worn off. There was also no aerator or sprayer so I decided to replace the whole thing.
I bought a Peerless Stainless single-handle faucet with soap dispenser from Lowe's on sale for $138.00, and had to buy a couple 12" supply lines and 1/2" nipples to connect it up. Total cost was just under $150.00.
The hole where the spout goes was too small so I had to drill it larger with a hole saw. The faucet came with a soap dispenser which I hadn't planned on using - but when I found how easy it was to drill into the countertop I went ahead and drilled another hole and installed the soap dispenser.

Looks great!! I will be replacing our replacement this summer as well. I really appreciate the view of the soap dispenser (top and bottom) and will have to strongly consider that addition as well.

The soap dispenser on our stickhome was always running out of soap and since it was kinda difficult to refill I took off the dispenser jar, added a piece of tubing that slid over the suction tube. This new tubing is long enough to reach a one gallon jug sitting on the floor under the sink. This works great and lasts a month or so. Now after doing this I found out all I would have had to do was lift off the top pumper and pour in the soap to refill. Go figure??
I like your mod and will add that to our list also.

Rick, after seeing your installation of your new faucet, I went down to Lowes and bought the same unit and installed it today. Easy install and looks good.

Actually I haven't tested it yet because I have the water pump out right now in order to put a rebuild kit on it, and I'm also adding an accumulator tank. Won't get to work on it again until Monday, sigh....
