My Ceiling Fan Mod

Well, I gotta start posting my mods...so, I'll start with the ceiling fan.

Here's a pic of the old ceiling fan
(remember...we hate bright brass)

"New" fan

Coupla things...first, I replaced the globe on the fan...didn't like the milk glass, so I got a new clearer one, but I took pic before that.
Secondly, I also installed a remote controller into fan. Thirdly...and most importantly...it's the same fan.
We like it...hope you do too.
Bill

Wild horse mine makes a humming type noise, it does it when running (no specal song for those that will ask ) does your new fan still have that? or did you get rid of it when you replaced it.

We not only didn't like the bright brass but ours kept throwing blades and then dropped to only one speed. It now lives in a dumpster near Goshen. We went to Lowes and bought a new Hunter fan in brushed silver and it makes no sound, has never lost a blade and Hunter parts are easy to get if needed. The install to 20 minutes and cost 79 bucks... Sounds like Earl Scheib: "I'll paint any fan, any color for $29.95". If you're under 60, disregard this post.

Nice job!

It looks 100 times better. I also can't stand brass.
