Small solutions

Here are a couple of our small solutions:
In our previous SOB our closet was in the slide and the bed didn't go out. In our Montana, the bed goes out. We love the extra room, but I (Sharon) sleep on the side next to window. Dick sleeps near the closet. He is always hot, and I am always cold. I soon discovered that my side of the bed in cold weather is like ice. Now you might say why not switch sides. After 50 years of sleeping on the same sides you just can't teach these old dogs new tricks. Then I remembered when we lived in England the castles had large tapestries on them to keep out the cold. So Dick put a drapery rod up for me on my side in front of the curtain so I could thread a blanket through to insulate the wall and window. The blanket doesn't match the decor, just one we have on hand. I'll take it down as soon as the temperature outside warms up. Here are a couple of pictures:

Note I hang my glasses by the bed from a drawer pull. I also do the same at the computer desk:

I often watch different TV programs in the afternoon and love my little bed chair:

I think a prerequisite of marriage should be that both parties are either hot or cold.

We have the same problem!

We have the same problem. We fixed it with an electric blanket with two controls so my wife can set her side at whatever temp she wants. I am always hot so I also run a 24" fan at night to move air around. Her only complaint since this is that her nose sometimes gets cold. I tell her that means she is healthy. If it gets into the low 30's or lower we will run a small electric heater and close the sliding door to the bedroom. This does save us lots of propane.
