Well, the folks that are buying from keystone...ie, the dealers, think they are doing well in the quality department over the other brands. Let's hope the dealers are correct and units are taking an upturn in overall quality. John

Dealer satisfaction and Customer satisfaction are not necessarily the same thing.

All the awards in the world won't change the realities as recorded by ownership.

Having worked in the heavy truck business for 40 years our measurement for customer satisfaction was CSI (customer satisfaction index)
If customers weren't happy that is how we and the factory was judged.
Higher the CSI the better the bonus at year end.

Thanks for the link. I for one wouldn't have bought (3) Montana's if I wasn't satisfied with the brand. And, our new 3160 is the best so far.

Being new to Montanas and 5th wheels in general, can someone explain the historical quality and/or lack thereof over the years? I found one blog that documented a horrible experience with Keystone, but we found overwhelming support for the product in research which is mostly why we bought one rather than SOB. I am quite pleased with the quality of the 2004 - in fact I think it's in remarkable condition and have found no quality issues to squawk about.

Paul, IMHO, as in anything there can be lemons. My view after being on this forum for almost twelve years is that satisfaction is highly correlated to the quality of your dealer. Just as in the auto industry, you don't take your truck back to the factory, you take it to the dealer. What is different is that in the RV industry, your selling dealer is responsible for your service. Some dealers will do service work even if they are not the original seller, but not a lot (unless you are traveling. Again, this is our third Montana and we have been happy.

We are quite satisfied with our 2015 3610RL. We feel it is the best we have had so far but like anything else we have it is our opinion. Hopefully if and when we decide to trade in we will give Montana the strongest look before decide if we need to look elsewhere for our home on wheels.
As we look today, we are not all that thrilled as fulltimers with the present Montana plans, especially anything with the washer/ dryer hookups in the master closet.

We are looking forward to the Big Tent show in Quartzsite to see what Montana and the SOB's are bringing to the table for us fulltimers!

We have a 2012 3400RL and have looked at the 13's/14's 15's. We have seen quality go down in 13 and 14. 20015 we didn't look that closely. The 2016 looks as though the quality may be equal to the 2012 we have.

That said I think Thor Corp. has a good business model, 40 corporate employees speaks of the confidence they have in each name plate. Allowing each to operate under that management group.
Keystone, Heartland, Mobile Suite, Redwood...
Hope Thor Corp continues to look to the brand and CSI, when making decisions.
