A Warning of Sorts
This morning I opened my email to find, tucked away in the Spam folder a email that started out:
Montana Owners.
Hi!
How are you? http://XXXXXX (I have deleted the real http stuff, so no one tries to open it.) Oprah says it works!

I checked the email addys this was sent to, I recognize at least one as someone on this forum. That does not mean they SENT it, it probably means their email was hacked.
Be careful what you open, just cause it says Montana, does not mean it is a safe email and please think twice before you click.

Have not received that one. But get e-mails regularly from various addresses, some seeming valid, with links to click on. But by clicking on properties of the sender's address shows they are nothing that I am familiar with. They go immediately to the spam folder without ever clicking.

YIKES!!! I just talked to my investment guy on the phone the other day and an e-mail showed up today from him. IT HAD THE EXACT SAME WORDING. I opened it but did not participate in clicking on the link. It did not have any attachments only this link. Something about seeing something on the Oprah. I checked and found it to be spam.

Thanks for the info. I got one from "Oprah" says it works also, so guess its time to call the Geek Squad and have this thing cleaned out again. Every now and then I end up calling them to clean this out, sure is nice being able to do it right here and not have to take it anyplace. Happy Trails, Steve and Susie
