Chest for short bed Dodge

All, I'm looking for a chest to put in my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. To date, all of the chest's I've found will not fit due to the short distance between the front of the box and the wheel wells. Rather that go to a shorter 48 inch box, I would like to find one between 57 and 60 inches. Does anyone out there know of a brand that might work? Remember, this is a Dodge and the box is different that whats on a Chevy or Ford.

Thanks, Steve

Steve
I purchased a chest from Lowe's home improvement. It fits between the box and the wheel wells and doesn't interfere with the hitch. The lower front of the chest is slanted to fit the wheel well.
I think this is the one.

I got mine at Tractor Supply quite a few years ago and moved it among my Fords and now my Dodge. It sits at the front of the bed and is no higher than the bed rails. Right now it desperately needs repainting. It's that old.

Steve,
You might want to try and have one custom made.

Thanks to all for the great responses. Never considered having one built but I'll look into it. And hey, Lowes is just down the street!

Thanks again, Steve

I've got a box that I built. I've used it from when we had a van and needed a place to store the hitch when we had a pull trailer. It's been through a change or two but it serves the purpose well. You can see it in this picture I took for the bed saver. It could be longer but it may give you some idea of something you could do.

On edit; with this type of cover I do have access when hooked up to the camper.

Thanks, Wayne, but this one works just fine. It just needs repainting. A couple of cans of black spray paint and it will look good as new. Originally it was white, which wouldn't work in the (then) bronze colored truck. So I painted it black. That was in 1999. It's time for a freshening up. Actually, more like a start over.

Steve: Have you considered getting a tray from Camping World or a truck accessory company and putting a box on it The tray has a 2" receiver and with a short box you should be able to do a 180 deg. turn without the tray and box hitting the coach. If you send me your email address I will send you a photo of mine attached box and with the coach hitched.
