Television sound

We have a 2006 2955 RL and fried all the electronics. We replaced the TV"s and home entertainment system. Can someone tell us if the sound from the big TV came through the surround speakers? We replaced the unit with a Philips home entertainment unit, but left all the original speakers in. Everything works except the sound for the TV does not come through the surround speakers - any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

My TV plays through the TV speakers. I noticed that the audio output jacks are hooked intot he amplifier so I can play the TV through the speakers. I just have to select the correct input setting on the amplifier to hear the TV. Well that wasn't desireable so I disconnected the wires from the TV and hooked up my MP3 player to play through the Audio In option of the Amplifier.

So, to sum it all up, you can connect the TV to play through the speakers, you just have to select the input function to hear them. Connect audio out jacks of TV to audio jacks of amplifier and set it to the channel you connected the RCA cables to.

My 06 2955RL also plays the TV out the surround speakers. Sorry to hear you fried your electronics. How did it happen and I hope it was covered by warranty. Take care.

It was all ruined due to a power surge - we now have a surge protector on the unit. The RV company replaced the convertor, but the rest we had to turn into our insurance company.

We run cable or satellite through a VCR first. From there run sound to Home receiver and picture to TV.
Pretty much the same way as our stick house. We put a much better sound system in the first couple of weeks we had the
trailer, speakers too. when we took the Quest unit out, they had wired the the front and back speakers together. I don't know why but with that, the surround sound would not have worked any way.
