How to keep your water line (hose) from freeziing?
We're full time in our 2015 3611RL this year and I'm wondering how to keep the city water hose from freezing. What's your best idea and what works for you. We live in East Texas so getting into the twenties is about as low as it goes most of the time, but I know a garden hose with water in it will freeze in no time.
Thank you,
Gene

Heated hose. Can order online or get at camping world.

We carry a heated hose also. Before that I carried a heat tape and foam pipe insulation. Worked ok, but was a PITA to store.

If the freezing temperatures are just for a night or a day or so, the other (cheaper) alternative is to fill your fresh water tank, unhook the hose and drain it, and use the on-board water.

We have been using the heated hose for 3 years now. They work great and we have been in some really cold areas. Highly recommend them!

We use a heated hose as well when we encounter freezing temps.

Normally, if I'm headed some where where I need a heated water hose...I don't go, or wait until it's warmer.

Have not needed yet here in Florida. When we wintered in Colorado, heated hose with additional tape wrapped pipe insulation worked fine.

Roll your hose up and put it in the bin. Then head south. Stop when you see the ocean. Hook it up and it should be OK.

In an emergency and you're hooked up to sewer, leave a gray tank valve open and just trickle cold water from your tap, it wont freeze.

I think I'm living lucky and even in Southern Cal I've wintered at CGs when the temps got as low in the 20s. Fortunately, nothing has broken yet, but I'm guessing it will happen eventually.
I guess I'm in the market for what I think is a Pirit hose (heated hose), but then I'd have to figure out where to plug it in. I believe there are other brands, but they warm using an power cord.

Question to all of you using the heated water hose-- Does it warm your water up much while it sits there without being used?

It has a sensor to turn itself off when temps get above freezing so it won't heat your water.
I bought the "blue one"(forgot the name) for around a hunnerd bux on Amazon. I also wrapped it with the the split foam tube insulation and zip ties. While in Midland, TX last winter the temps got into the teens and remained below freezing for almost a week and I never went without water. Well until the ice storm broke several power poles and the electricity went out..haha My generator/furnace kept me warm but like a dummy I forgot about running an extension cord to the water hose.
