Heading to Nova Scotia

We have been on the road about a week and getting settled into the RV routine. Out stay in Illinois was great--surrounded by corn fields and lightning bug! Next stop Indiana, then Ohio and then Niagara Falls to get this adventure into high gear. Looking out the window I can see my fellow RVers (men) with their steering gear (coffee cup or dog leash) in place and everything is well controlled. The DW has not emerged from the camper! Gotta love it!

What parts of Nova Scotia are you heading for and when? We are staying close to home this year and spending a lot of time re-visiting areas in our home province (NS) that we have not been to for years. Maybe we will cross paths and can share a coffee. PM us when you get the time.
Cheers

Weather is a big factor on what you get to see in Nova Scotia. The day our tour traveled Cabot Trail all we saw was fog. That is the down side of a scheduled tour. Later when the official tour had ended, we got to see a bit more of the surroundings. Prince Edward Island was visited on a clear day and it was outstanding. It was like a step back in agrarian history with it its pristine fields and manicured landscapes.

Just remember, when you travel that part of Canada, there are two seasons, winter and construction. Maine, Nova Scotia, and PEI still remain some of the favorite memories of all our travels.

We will be passing through Nova Scotia in early August on our way to Newfoundland. Sorry to say that it really will be a quick trip through NS as we are trying to maximize our time on the island however, I'm sure that what we see will bring us back there again in the future. Have a safe trip getting to NS yourselves.

That brings back so many wonderful memories of our trip in 2008. Can't help but agree that our week in PEI went way too fast. It was one of our favorites.

Enjoy the beauty...
