make of air conditions and wiring diagram

We have a 2012 Montana 3750FL, and had some work done on our roof where they had to remove the front air conditioner, we unfortunately, did not try the air conditioner after we got the trailer back. We are now in Arizona and when I tried to use the front air conditioner I got an error which states that there is an open ground, I looked through all of my literature on the 5th wheel but can’t find anything on the air conditioners, does anyone know what make they are and where I can find a wiring diagram. Thanks Michael

I think they are all dometic, either 13.5 k btu or 15k btu, depending on where in the rig unit is located. Unless you are electric savvy, as well as understand how these work...you will be wiser to have a good mobile tech come do the fix. If you are attempting this yourself...power off, and if the unit is one that has an inside cover, then you have to remove the cover to see the approximately 5 by 7 box that has the circuitry to control the air conditioner. If nothing looks amiss so far, then you will need to remove a cover on this to expose the hot, neutral, and ground for 120 vac. If all are connected there, then it is roof side, remove cover, remove metal cover inside to get to the power connections there. You can fry your unit if you do something wrong. There is also a large capacitor in there that can kill you or cause you to fall off the roof if you get in contact with it. This is why you should contact a tech. John

Thanks John, I think that I will take you advice and leave it to a tech.

Michael,

The wire are accessible where the intake filter is. You will see a control box, and you should see wires going to a Romex Wire (kind stuffed back in the roof rafters. The connections are via wire nuts... check all three to make sure the wire are making good contact. They are just stuffed in there so you can pull them out to get a good look at them.

Yes, when they removed it, there would have been no reason to do anything but take the connections loose in the box you can access. They removed the thermostat wires as well, The thermostat may have to be re-booted.
Start there, that should do it.

What others have said, they would have dis-connected the wires at the junction box that is available thru the return air area. Before you "dink" with this, make sure the breaker is OFF and the feed is dead.

Probably just a loose wire nut on the ground wire. I doubt the problem is on the roof connection.

Just want to give an update, I did check the wiring, everything look to be connected, so had a tech come out he checked the wiring, then checked both roof airs after sometime going back and forth came back inside and discovered that one wire was plugged into the wrong connection. Re-set the thermostat and we now have both airs working. Phoned camping world and they said they would cover our costs. Good result, so many thanks for the ideas.
