Hot Water Tank Bypass
I have a 2006 Montana 2980 RL. I cannot locate where the control is to bypass the hot water tank.

On our 2006 2955, it's in the panel where the water hookup and battery disconnect are, and it's marked.

On our 3400RL, and I assume all Montana's, driver's side just aft of the rear basement...in fact you have to open the rear door to get to it. Turn the lever 90* and it is 'bypassed.'
On edit...didn't notice you were a first time poster...welcome to the MOC.

I don't know the year that Keystone changed over to the convience center for all water and electrical hookups, but on my 2005 2980, the bypass is inside the fiver underneath the island counter top in the kitchen where the hotwater tank is located. The bypass valve is on the upper water connection to the hot water heater.

We have a 2004 2980RL and the bypass is as dieselguy said-- on the upper part of the incoming line behind the large grill on the end of island, next to the oven.

Welcome to the MOC forum. On our 2006 2980, I go into the basement from the driver's side. I then remove the panel on side right. The valve in on the bottom right by the water heater. When you take the panel off, you will easily see just what you have to do. Best wishes - Jim

Well you now have the location from someone that has a 2006 unit! Thanks Jim! I knew the units were different but I guess I didn't realize they had changed them that much over the two years from what we have!
By the way "Hi to Jim and Carol!" How's things going? PM or email us!
