I 75 between Tifton, GA and Valdosta, GA

We just went thru the construction area on I 75 between Tifton and Valdosta, GA. Thought I was going to rip the Monty off the the hitch. Road is really bad through that stretch.

We've been that way a few times and know what you mean! The first time we took the Monty that way, being a passenger and not really realizing how bad it was for the driver, I asked Dano "You okay?" His answer was "Noooooooooooooooo!" Hopefully it won't be very much longer before it's completed. Are you headed to Florida?
On edit: Thinking about it, that stretch is not as bad as when we went through Knoxville, TN.

Yeah, we are heading to Naples. Just read in the Chicago Tribune that they had a measureable snow yesterday. Soooooo glad that we spend our winter months in the south.

Gary, We just went thru that area from Fla. to Stone Mountain in Georgia. I to thought that the Montana was going to fall off the hitch. There was some serious bucking and trying to keep in the lanes when you have 18 wheelers flying past you. After the 20 plus miles of that road, my wife said I could relax my grip on the wheel and let the blood flow again. It was worse a year ago when we went up to Indiana.

It seems that I have heard nothing but bad things about I-75 in South Georgia for the past several years. My inclination is to come south on I-77 to I-26 to I-95 and then cut across to the Gulf side of Florida on I-10, I-4, or 301. Any comments on this idea would be appreciated.

I think that makes a whole lot more sense than getting tossed all over the road. Don't know what the roads are like, but they can't be worse than that stretch of I 75. I really thought that the Monty was going to be ripped from the hitch. Once we parked for the night, I gave her a thorough going over to make sure nothing was shaken loose and the hitch was okay.

That stretch of highway is horrible, not just for towing, but for driving in particular.
