Trade for class a

Wifey and I been thinking trading the 5er for a class A. We go over all the pros and cons but for the full time boondocking lifestyle we want, we think that we want another Class A. So guess I’ll look around to see if anyone wants to trade a nice 2004 or newer class with a solid roof (alum or fiberglass) cuz I want to do solar. Gas 1st, or diesel. About 36’.. beaver, foretravel, Newmar, holiday rambler, etc.

Good luck with your search. A decision I am sure most all of have considered at some point in our RV life whether as a first time buyer or a seasoned veteran. You have to do what is right for you.

My wife and I had to make that decision a couple years ago. Because of back and hip trouble she couldn’t ride in the truck very far. We found a 32 foot C with 5000 miles on it that had been stored in a garage since 2008. We paid too much for it but bought it anyway. I call the Fleetwood Jamboree my barn find. It was in like new condition.
Now we have the 2011 HC. and the MH. I decided to keep the Montana since it wasn’t worth much anyway. NEVER sell a toy, it’s bad luck.

We once owned a Class A and decided on a 5th wheel because when we are parked the engine is just sitting there and requires maintenance. With a 5th wheel - yes there is maintenance, but not the same. We have found the 5th wheel to be more like a house.

We didn't go with a motor home for two reasons. First if the drive train brakes down we don't want to loose our house (we full time) for however long it takes to get it fixed and second, we used to boondock and work for Fish and Wildlife a lot and I didn't want to try and get a motor home in and out of some of the places we could go with four wheel drive.
