LANDING GEAR CLEARANCE

This 3605 2008 is not my first trailer but I've never had one with so little clearance on the landing gear. I'VE TOUCHED DOWN THE FEET SEVERAL TIMES AND EVEN BENT THE PAD ON A TREE STUMP! This raises the question of whether this is considered normal or is there a way of adjusting the whole landing gear up 4 or 5 inches? We love our Montana and love this forum and thanks in advance to any who reply with suggestions and similar experiences.
