I will be in TX with my wife for her to attend a convention in the Reunion Center. Any good campgrounds in the area?

Grapevine park in Grapevine of course. It is close to the huge Grapevine Mall and Bass Pro. It's also in the middle of Dallas and Ft Worth to the north. Also in Arlington there is Treetops RV Resort. Also in the middle between the 2 cities. I usually stay at the RV park at Traders Village in Grand Praire. Not a bad place, all paved and has grass, but it is part of the Traders Village flea market, a huge flea market. There are more places just further out like Joe Pool lake and some of the other lakes in the area. Check here for mor info http://campgroundreviews.com/regions/Texas/

Check out Plantation Place in Sunnyvale (Near Lake Ray Hubbard). Not a bad place, but the checkin is kinda strange. It's about 30-35 minutes from Reunion Center, all freeway driving. Not too much in Dallas itself.

If near Terrell, Bluebonnet Ridge is a hidden jewel.

We stayed at Grapevine RV Park last year and loved it.

Yeah, it's a nice place, we have stayed there. Right off the highway, too, so a fast commute to Reunion Plaza, and better facilities than Plantation Place.
