Decals

Keystone sent new decals for replacement. Now, what is the easiest and fastest way to get the old decals off? Looks like a big job to me.

Our decals had started pealing. When I started to remove what was left of them I used a hair dryer to warm them. Once they were warm they came off easier. There are several threads on here about pealing decals. Search for Burlington Graphics, pealing graphics, decals etc… and you should get a lot of material on this subject.

Bill,
As Bill said use a heat gun of some sort. A hair dryer will work but a real heat gun works even better. Then just start peeling. We found that a scraper of some sort was necessary. On some of the really fine little pieces we even used a razor blade. But be very careful and don't gouge holes in the siding.

Getting the adhesive residue off was very difficult. We used Goo Be Gone or something like that. Then we used alcohol as a finisher. Finally go over with water let the area dry and then apply the new decals.

Good luck.
