I will be very disappointed in Keystone if our 2007 3400RL has a 'plain jane' converter. Just sold an '03 entry level tt that had a three mode Parallax converter as standard equipment.

Cat320 hate to burst your bubble, but get ready to be disappointed. most all the Keystone products I have seen come with he standard Iota converter, not a three mode converter just normal plain vanilla converter. To upgrade the converter you will need to add Iota part IQ4 that makes it a smart converter.

IF everything worked for the the newly wired 30 amp receptical. It has to what has caused the initial problem... I would put the receptical back the way it was. Then try the system. Otherwise, if it still doesn't work, I would have to say some bad wiring COOKED THE WORKS... Don't get mad at your hubby.... There is not one of us out here that hasn't wired up something at one time or another WRONG...(ME TOO) It's just to bad that it always has to happen - just before the trip. your electrician should be able to figure it out fairly quick and if he is a friend and camper. Hand him a cold beer and go on your trip....

We just checked everything out again - 120 volts coming to 30 amp hook up. The battery is dead after trying to charge it for about 10 hours. We also believe the convertor is dead. When we are hooked up to the truck and plugged into electricity - everything works except the microwave, 2 tvs and DVD. The last time we used the Monty was the beginning of June and yesterday before any of this went "haywire" the battery was already dead because I could not get the fantastic fan to run - it would only open the roof hatch and it was very, very, very hot in there. Today hooked up to the truck and electricity the fan ran.
We are beginning to wonder if in an electrical storm the other night while it was plugged in, something went wrong.
Thanks everyone for your help - tomorrow we will head out early to travel 3 1/2 hours the opposite direction we are supposed to be going to have the dealer hopefully fix it or tell us how to fix it.
Can anyone answer this question - if the microwave was fried would the interior light still light? The light lights when plugged into the truck and electricity.
Thanks for your help.

The interior light might still work with fried electronics, but I do recall that our MW won't run if the voltage is too low.
Good luck!

Our converter was "done" - dealer replaced it. We believe we had a power surge on our place and it also blew out all the electronics - 2 TV's, DVD and microwave. We have to replace all of these items (had used the TV's about 1 hour and never used the microwave. Has anyone replaced these items and with what brands? It seems we may have problems finding the correct sizes. We now have a surge protector on our line! Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

There was a thread on here where someone was talking about replacing something (can't remember what), but one reply was to ask the dealer to order "replacements" at a much reduced price than new ones retail.

The factory DVD is not much of a loss. Do a search where others upgraded their DVD players.
The Dometic Microwave can be purshased at some Dealers and authorized Service centers.
