Relocation Apprenticeships Coming to Rally Near You

For the new and old Rally goers that are seeking a career in Monty Relocation Services, we have a deal for you. We have multiple openings for the glorious and often under appreciated job of pointing to the correct turn-in point. The job encompasses sitting, standing, pointing and the occasional " you did that wrong and screwed every thing up" comment. For those that want to taste the excitement of the greeters and parkers but are unsure if they have the skill set required, this is for you. Once again training will be provided so you don't need to take the minutes long correspondent course being sold by other rally groups. A sense of humor is not required but it sure makes the time go faster. Thank you for your support.

Daryl-- Woody is looking for more help in his own round about way and I think it is great. The Wagon Masters will be furnishing maps of the fairground and the sites to all the Escort team which Woody is the Coordinator for. Everyone attending the Rally will also be getting a map of the fairground and of the City of Goshen. Also in the Rally Book there will be maps of the area and fairgrounds so hopefully the attendees will not get lost while at the Rally. Thanks for posting the map and looking forward to seeing you in Goshen in September!

Les, I already have you signed up. Since you signed up twice you get to work the double shifts. And believe me I appreciate it. Just got the word that we will have carts. Thanks again and see you soon.

I’ll be coming in on the 10th and will be glad to learn the relocation trade once we get setup. First time attending a rally and looking forward to all it has to offer.

Thanks for helping. You'll love the Rally. Lots to do and learn. Be sure to sign up for the tours. I'll post more info in the near future. Could you please send me your name. I don't know how to backtrack from your handle. Thanks

Woody,

Name is Bill Landin. As I said, we will be pulling in on the 10th and can help as soon as the Mrs. is settled. BTW - I'm another senior NCO so I might need a little extra "training".

See you then,
Bill

Thanks Bill, training hell, I'm going to put you in charge of the boots.
The more help we get the less time people will spend in line waiting for an escort. See you the tenth.

No problems there Woody-- no potlucks this year! All meals being held are catered meals either in the ECCC Building or out at the Jone's for the Amish Dinner. You will be called by table for the catered meals at the ECCC Building however!

Jerome,

it's pretty basic. We have some one or two down by the road (human traffic cones)to get the Monty's turned into the right entrance, then we have someone that greets the Montys and lets us show they have arrived. Then we have some one lead the Montys to there site. This year we will have carts that will make life much better. We may have to augment the carts with bikes when we hit peak times. Which is usually in the afternoons. Some people are new and need some help parking, others not so much. Either way we must escort them to their site. This is the time consuming part of the whole deal and where we need the most help. If we need to use the parkers for greeting or turn-ins it will greatly slow down the process. That may cause long queues in the parking lot waiting for a parker. We usually rotate around and do the various tasks. Unless some one likes to do a certain thing (right Cheryl).

I know that we all have things to do when we arrive and pretty much during the whole week. We don't do nine to five, just come when you can. We basically just need bodies to expedite the arrival process so we can all get on with enjoying ourselves. Hope that explained it to you and others thinking about volunteering. This whole week is about doing things with other RALLY goers. Sitting in a parking lot waiting to unpack is just not as much fun.
