Leisure Lakes Resort, Joliet, IL

Near Chicago, in space 5 or 6, no numbers, not sure which one. We tried to get as close to Chicago as possible and this seemed to fill the bill. I would look elsewhere for CG if you are coming here. This is a membership park and they allow Passport America for $20.00 a night. We have a nice site, however, no FHU and only 30 amp power. I would not wash a dog in the showers here, nor use the restrooms, nor the laundry, they have a sign in there that says "we have iron in the water and will tint your whites to yellow". The facilities are in terrible shape, will not stay here again, EVER!!!! It's a shame as this park has the potential of being a premier park. Of course, it is located near a large cloverleaf and very noisy also.

The only saving grace is the cost!!!!

Phil-- What's the name of the park so I don't stop there on my way east from Nebraska? Be sure to let Passport know about this park and the conditions of the park and it's facilities-- they may take it off their list! Thanks for the warning!!

Dah! It must have been a long day yesterday when I wrote the first reply! All I had to do is look at the title! To much sun and to much work out at the farm! Sorry Phil, have a good week!

We found a good place to camp when in Joliet, IL. It is the Empress Casino - Oasis Campground. They have quite a few level campsites and 50 amp service and water. They have a dump station and it is easy to get into. It is located on Route 6 off of I80, exit 127 or exit 130. There just aren't very many campgrounds in the area. Rex and Sharon Brown MOC 1717
