I got a Smith and Wesson 38 BG (Body Guard) revolver for the D/W. She didn't think she could hit anything until I turned on the laser. It is also hammerless, so it can be fired from inside a purse and there is no hammer to get hung up on the lining.

I keep looking for the 'Like' button on these posts...

My Sue liked her 38 airweight J-frame until she fired 50 rounds through the Shield.. now the .38 sits... where it sits

My DW, since she had her stroke can not rack the slide on a semi so the S&W 638-3 is her carry now.

But her favorite is her S&W 3913. We used it for her range time for her CCL. Since everything is a 5 shot drill, we loaded the mags with 5 rounds and it locked open. She can push the slide release.

On S&W Customer service. Her new 638 after 40 rounds would not reset the trigger. Called Customer Service, they e mailed me a FedEx return label. Shipped, 10 days later it is back with a replaced trigger and timing assy.

If only some other company's could provide service like this.

Jim

Helen has trouble racking the big frame auto like the .45.The 380 Bersa is just fine. I do not care for revolvers from a safety point of view although I have a couple.
