New Furrion Appliances
Is there anyone out there that has taken delivery of a new Montana with the Furrion gas stove top or the larger oven with oven window, etc.
Your thoughts pros/cons and wondering if they are now standard items with all 2017s being built?

I don't like the Furrion brand I think Montana is starting to cheap out like some of our competition ,they have gone to Insignia TV/sound system instead of Quality Sony now this Furrion ANYTHING Furrion BLOWS IMO ask my buddy with a Grand Designs 5er,I am out and this will be my last Monty if they continue Cheaping out

Yes, I do believe they said at the rally that those are standard. They had some tricks they did, but I don't remember what anymore.

Geez Jimmy I hope you are wrong on the Blows part of anything Furrion.
Our dealer didn't have a new unit in Stock with the Furrion product but we were getting kind of excited about the oven in particular. From what we have read they are a larger oven, with over window, digital temperature readout and the real kicker an electronic oven igniter so one doesn't have to lay on the floor to light the oven.
Kinda thought that was all good stuff, guess we shall see???

The only experience that I have had with Furrion is the power cord, which was so good on the last rig that I made sure that we kept it during the last trade. It is very high quality compared to the ones that we have been provided on the other two rigs. It is far from cheap!

They had the new cooktop and stove at the Rally in September and they looked nice and solid.

yeah I like the idea of the Oven but ask most folks with that brand of back up camera, Tv's sound systems etc..and they will say the same thing not a good record of reliability like I said not a top notch brand I hope Furrion does a better job on Ovens.... we will see,me and my wife have been looking at Brown brand ovens they put in higher end 5er's and Class A's

We have a "Highpointe" microwave/convection in our 2017 and the first time DW used it we started to get out or turn off quickly. It sounded as if the oven was going to fly apart. I couldn't hear the tv or talk to the cook. The exhaust fan appears to be the problem. After examining it, I think the very thin metal on the bottom is part of the cause. Cheap! It has worked but very loud. Someone said the Insignia tvs are Best Buy's store brand??? We have two and no problems thus far.

Insignia Tv's are not terrible and better than Jensen or Furrion or Magnavox and yes they are a Best Buy Brand But they are a step down from the Sony Home TV/surround DVD Blu-Ray they put in 2015's and later IMO,we met some folks with a new Monty (front Kitchen) with the Insignia TV/sound bar and had dinner and watched a Movie and it does not even have surround sound per say(no external speakers or Woofer)) the Sony TV/ Surround system in my 2015 puts it to shame in sound quality and picture quality IMO Montana is starting to cheap out little by little just like your Highpointe convection on your 2017 instead of the huge nice Whirlpool Microwave/convection in our 2015

Bigskyjimmy is correct. I see it in our 2015, from carpeting to furnishings. Montana is cheapening the brand. After three previous Montana units and 14 years of Montana ownership I can see the quality difference.

You notice these things when you have had a few Monty's like me and 1retired06 and being a fulltimer I have been in ALOT of other brands over the years and that is why I chose Montana 3 times not because I think they are built better than anybody else it is(was)the Quality appliances/TV's pin boxes etc.. that other brands do not have for the same price, for alot of buyers of 5th wheels this is their first one and do not notice those differences

I have the 2017 Montana 3790 RD. We have the furrion cooktop and glass door oven. So far they are working ok. The oven fan runs until it cools itself down and is a little noisy. The real problem I have is I think the oven heat is vented out into the coach behind the cooktop. We leave the exhaust fan running in microwave, but the heat has warped the back wall backsplash. The cooktop is cut in slow close to the right wall that it has scorched the wall from using cootop. Anybody had this problem and looking for solution. Going to have to take back to dealer for this one.
thanks

So far for us, the cooktop and oven are far better than in the 2010. Several other things appear cheaper and now that I've done the work the Whisper Quiet is ok (not quiet, however) but I'd have been happier with my old AC's.

No issues with our micro/convection or the cooktop/oven, our 2015 3790RD has Samsung electronics which is what I have in my house due to quality. Seems you get what is available to the factory on the day they are building.....

We took possession of our new 2018 3950BR in July. I tried all the new stuff. I love how the oven clicks on like the stove top!!! Our previous 2007-- never used the oven once - too hard to get down to light.
The oven has lots of nice features, esp setting temperature & buzzing to let me know intrigued me -- had to try it out ---
1. Yes, the oven heat is vented into rig (☹️)
2. I set for "trial run" at low 325 degrees -- I was excited to wait for buzzer or ding to let me know when temp reached (have had older Jennaire for years & love it at home) ---- waited--- waited --- AFTER 1 hr, 15 min - checked temp reached -- barely at 280 --- this NEEDS CALIBRATION in Goshen hopefully. Will also buy oven thermometer as back-up! Da*♀️rn!

I agree with you BigSkyJimmy. I was totally surprised to see no ceiling speakers and that cheesy soundbar. Very subpar stereo and soundbar. We've had 6 5ers and I thought we were getting a high-quality unit in the Montana including the Legacy option. Only used the 5er once and I'm finding myself starting a list of things I want to replace. I have been thinking the same thing - that Montana seems to be installing cheap items where they feel they can get away with it. My wife liked the oven and cooktop, the digital display, and the size. However, the fan is very noisy, the LR heated-up quickly and it took forever to get to 350. We still like Montana but am finding I'll need to R&R items that are junk or don't work.

We love our Furrion appliances, especially feel the oven is a huge upgrade.
Ease of lighting, digital display, glass oven door and larger capacity.
Yes it is slow to heat up, no different than our previous gas, and we find we Have to set the temp to about 30 degrees higher than we want in order to reach that required temp.
No problems with warping backdrop so far and we try not to use the far right burner because of close proximity to the wall. If we do need to use it we select a small pot/pan for that element so a to not deflect the heat further out closer toward the wall panel.
