2017 3790 RD furnace won't light

Our subject 5th wheel furnace will not light. when the thermostat is set the furnace fan starts, the igniter then starts clicking, after a short wait it sounds like it lights for a second and then goes out. SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT MAY BE CAUSING THIS would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

If you haven't purged your propane system, try that first. Just turn your stove burners on and use the igniter until all are burning evenly. JT.

Does your stove or water heater light on propane?

Yes the stove burners all burn well and are the same color and the water heater is running on propane. Any other suggestions or thoughts would be appricated. I have removed the exterior furnace cover and vacuumed and blown out the furnance with compressed air. the electronic board is giving me 3 fast red light flashed and then nothing for a few seconds, and then 3 more flashes etc, etc, until i reset the board or turn the furnace off at the thermastate

Wonder if it could be a bad sail switch? OR, how long have you had the rig and do you have any protective screens over the exhaust outlet on the rig? If not, it may be full of dirt daubers. Yep, even on a brand new unit as it only takes a couple of days for them to wreak havoc on a furnace.

Here are the codes:

1 Internal Circuit Board Failure Steady on, no flashing
2. Limit switch/Airflow problems 1 flash with 3-second pause
3. Flame Sense Fault 2 flashes with 3-second pause
4. Ignition Lockout Fault 3 flashes with 3-second pause

If there is no sign of blockage in t
he burner tube (mud daubers, etc.) then it might be time to do some diagnosis work. Here is a link to an Atwood Furnace Service Manual to guide you on the steps

It will have nothing to do with the excess flow valve on the propane cylinder since your stove and water heater are working on propane.

update

Taking it back to the dealer on Thursday for our annual "lifetime Warranty" inspection From Tacoma RV......and for a repair to the Furnace. As you can imagine, this is not pleasant! We have purchases 3 RV's from them and this last one has been a Colonoscopy!!!! Love the product but KEYSTONE has been NO HELP with ensuring things as Small as a defective Hot Water Release Valve, Fender Flares coming Loose, and Interior, exterior and inside storage trim Falling OFF. I understand the volume of Tacoma RV and that is my guess why Keystone treats them as they do. In any case, I have sent no less that 4 folks there who have made purchases from Tacoma RV and Keystone Products.....no more as I am really dissatisfied. Looking forward to the next "EXPERIENCE" and note the the Wife is covering as Much as She Can with Plastic because it took her a WEEK to clean the 5vr after our last service.

dtrees- Before leaving Tacoma RV go into your unit and take pictures of the unit inside and out where work is suppose to be done. Also areas that are not covered by any work projects. Then when you pick it up after work is done, go into and around the unit and see what has been disturbed and what is not right. Then go to the owner or the manager and take him/her out to the unit and show them the problems and then show them the pictures you took before leaving when you dropped it off. If it is messed up and not correctly done REFUSE to take the unit off the lot and DO NOT pay for anything until it is back to the way it was when you dropped it off but all things have been taken care of that should have been. Dealers have to start to learn they cannot take advantage of their customers even though they are a large selling dealership for Keystone! I do a walk through each time I leave our unit at the dealership and also before leaving when it is suppose to be done.

I have the same issue but only on battery. Furnace won't light as the gas value is not opening on less than 13VDC. Mine does work on shore power.

I had a dealer look at it and they misdiagnosed it as a bad crossover cable on my 2 6-volt batteries. Too bad they didn't check further.

In any event, I'm going to replace the as valve an re-mediate it myself.

UPDATE- I really hope this is not premature as we have not got the 5vr back yet. Anthony at Tacoma RV has been very helpful. Furnace had some serious problems to include melting the housing and they are now replacing the complete furnace unit. I only post this because if you are have furnace issue, get them checked. Our rig is a 2017 3790 RD and hopefully this is an anomaly and not an Atwood trend.

WOW! This is the second one in two days I've heard of the Atwood furnace in an 3790(like mine) with a huge problem. The other was melted wiring.

This issue is one reason we carry two Lasko towers.
