Any comments about the Timbren Suspension System?

I have them, like them, and they prevent the squat issue I was having.

Where do you get them and how much. My trailer rides great but the truck rides like a buckboard with airbags. Mine is a 2013 ram dually.

Maybe you are running to much air in the bags. Did your truck come with them stock> are they controlled by the truck or can you adjust them independently?
I have bags on my truck and like the adjustability of air bags.

I have had them on my last two trucks, great product, but make sure you get the right size for your vehicle. You don't want the Timbren engaged unless there is a load on the truck, other wise there is usually a space between the device and the axle .

I have used Timbrens and they worked OK. Currently have Air Lift bags and prefer them over the Timbrens and the Firestone bags I had on a previous truck. I have the on-board air that automatically maintains 5 psi and it rides like they aren't even there when not towing.

I have the firestone airbags . I think my problem is i am running to much air. I have been running 40 psi in the bags but dropped down to 20 psi and i think i am going to go down to 10 psi and see how that works. I've got 3480 pounds of hitch weight plus over 250 pounds of hitch with the hensley air bag hitch so i thought the 40 psi would be more appropriate for the weight and the truck and trailer runs very level but the ride is a killer. I'll test the less psi next month when i go to Branson Mo.

Air bags have worked best for us. Eliminates sag on the dually which was a problem. 4o-45 PSI levels the fiver out and runs rock steady.

Love the Timbren SRS. Have them on the rear of my 2013 Ram. They prevent any sagging, are simple to install, require no maintenance, do not degrade the ride and have a lifetime warranty.

There is an app on their web site, just punch in your numbers and out pops the right Timbren part# to order. If you still have questions as I did (they make several weight ranges and I wanted to make sure I was ordering the right Part#) they have excellent tech support and I had my answers within 2 days.

Ordered mine on ebay, cost me $170.00/ free shipping.

We have used the airbags on both trucks to keep the rig level.It appears that the
timbren's or the airbags do the job. IMO a level rig is critical to a smooth ride and tire wear.

Mr. Texan, since you have a Ram DRW, a suggestion. Look at where your overload spring pads are. If your truck is like my '12 the rear pad is about 2" lower than the front. So, when the truck is loaded, the overload is probably only touching the rear pad and you got to go down another 2" for the front of the overload to contact the front pad. This causes truck squat and bounce.

I fixed mine by removing the front rubber thingy from the front overload pad and put a Ford rear axle bump stop which is about 3" long where the oem Ram rubber is was. This way the overload picks up both front and rear pads at close to the same time, stiffens up the rear while maintaining a car like ride empty.

The Ford bump stop has a aluminum locating tab you got to grind off, but it works just fine with just the bolt holding it on. The tab keeps it from rotating but the design of the Ram overload pad the tab does not fit.

I purchased mine from etrailer.com

They were just under $200 in early 2014.
