I don't think the tires would mess the MPG up. Speedometer will be off a couple MPH. A programmer will take care of that. I put the 265's on the 04 GMC we had. I noticed a lot more engine fan activity....of course, the LLY Duramax engines were notorious for running hot. The 265s sure fill the fender well a lot better than the stock tires.
