Lighting Refridge

Most people probably already know this, but I thought I'd pass on a tip that I discovered. I use to have a hard time getting my refrigerator to light after my Monty had sat for awhile. I would have to turn the fridge on and off many times before the gas would get to the the igniter. Now I light a burner on the stove before I turn on the fridge. I hold a long handled lighter to the burner until it lights. Then I know that the gas has filled the lines. Now my fridge lights the first time. Hopefully someone will find this useful.

Also works for lighting the water heater and furnace.

That is one of my dewinterizing steps. Since the range is physically located furtherest away from the tanks on our floor plan, I turn open the valves on the tanks and ignite all 3 burners for just a few seconds. Then, I turn on the fridge, furnace and water heater.

X2. If you floorplan supports it, you can do this without running the kitchen slide out.
