If Mel was there then it was probably the Garth Foss which is a 8,000 horsepower tractor tug. Mel is the chief on it,

The show was my 15 seconds of fame. They did about 45 minute of film on me but most ended up on the cutting room floor.
The Garth was built in 1994 for about 12 mil. a lot of money back then.

We recorded the Modern Marvels episodes. One day while computing, there was this horrible recognizable sound coming from the TV. It was our favorite "Chief Engineer" Mel. Was nice to have the rewind button active.
Funny, we were just discussing this with Mel and Joy last week....
