Foss Tugboat

Just saw Mel Thompson (MelnJoy) on a repeat show of "Modern Marvels) about the Foss Martime Tugboat World's Strongest made in (2006) we first met them in 2007.

If Mel was there then it was probably the Garth Foss which is a 8,000 horsepower tractor tug. Mel is the chief on it,

Thanks Charlie that was a great article. Very interesting boat, I wonder what one of those costs to build.

Thanks Bill, When are we going to see you guys again?
The show was my 15 seconds of fame. They did about 45 minute of film on me but most ended up on the cutting room floor.
The Garth was built in 1994 for about 12 mil. a lot of money back then.
Thanks for putting up the link Charlie. Hope to see you in a few months.

We recorded the Modern Marvels episodes. One day while computing, there was this horrible recognizable sound coming from the TV. It was our favorite "Chief Engineer" Mel. Was nice to have the rewind button active.

Funny, we were just discussing this with Mel and Joy last week....
