Frig. fan

Frig. fan runs almost constantly and is getting louder. I believe it runs off a thermal switch. Has any one replaced with a pc fan?

Are you talking about the fan inside the frig?

Jon: Just had to have mine replaced under warranty (assume you are talking the small fan behind the refer in the 'vent' area). The dealer replaced it with what looked like a six inch computer case fan -- had a little small fan that looked like a CPU fan (1 inch square thing). Now whisper quiet and I'd swear the refer and freezer are colder than ever before. (Fan was making a growling sound -- much like a bearing was going out).
