Olde Mill Stream RV Resort in Umatilla, Florida
Has anyone ever stayed at the "Old Mill Stream RV Resort", in Umatilla, Florida? Trying to find a good place to stay for 3 months next January thru April

We've stayed there the last 3 winters and I would rate it very high and the nicest campgrounds in the area. Staff and people are very friendly, they have lots of activities too. We have a 4 month reservation there for this coming winter. Email me if you have specific questions.

While we've not stayed there it is a very nice place. EASY to find and maneuver around. Reason I know is that we have five acres six miles outside of Umatilla and that is where "Bella" resides. Steve/Betty are right about the activities. My mom took a pine needle weaving class there a number of years ago (she teaches ceramics at the local Baptist church in Umatilla and a large number of her students do the winter season at Olde Mill Stream. If you want us to do a "run through" to get a more up to date view of the place let me know as we'll likely be up in Umatilla this weekend.
Umatilla is just south of the Ocala National Forest. Leesburg, Eustis, and Mount Dora are the closest sizeable towns and range from 10 minutes to 25 minutes drive away. (Umatilla has one traffic signal.) Publix, Winn Dixie, Walgreens, and CVS are a little less than 10 minutes away, but there is a Sav-a-Lot (BASIC grocery) across the street. Public Library is just down the street from the campground. Walmart (Super) and K-mart are about 15 minutes drive (in Eustis) as are a large number of restaurants.

It's also a short drive for happy hour at our place in Silver Springs... Just ask Steve and Betty.

Helen, we hope to make that visit again next year. Frank and Sandy (FMSUNOCO) are wintering at OMS next year too - they have a site reserved next to us.
