Smile Colo. Springs

DW and I are planning a trip from WI to Colo. Springs in June (probably),and are wondering if anyone might know of a RV spot that wouldn't require us to take out a loan for a week or two. As always, thank you for any help you can offer.

+1 on Cheyenne. Very nice newer campground just far enough out of town to get away from the hustle and bustle. Plus you get the added benefit of waking up and going to bed withe the sounds of Revelle or Taps from the base across from it.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Full hook ups and sites are not too close together. Check out Garden of the Gods and the cog train while there.

We loved Mountaindale Cabins and RV Resort. A little out of town and way off the highway so it is really nice and quiet. Price weren't too bad. Nice sites, lots of wildlife around. We ate breakfast with a momma deeper and her baby every day for a week!

Thanks for the replies. We just booked a site at Golden Eagle Campground based on DD's recommendation. It's near her house and has some decent reviews, (not that I put much faith in them). We'll see how we like it and report back in mid to late July.
